Lahore: The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), under the guidance of the Ministry of Industries and Production (MOIP), has finalized preparations for the inaugural "Made in Pakistan-SME Cluster Showcase Expo-2026." Scheduled from January 24 to January 26 at the Lahore Expo Center, the event aims to strengthen the country's micro, small, and medium enterprise ecosystem.
According to Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority, Secretary Industries and Production Saif Anjum reviewed the arrangements with SMEDA CEO Nadia Jahangir Seth. The expo has garnered international interest, with delegates from Azerbaijan, Malaysia, and Tajikistan expected to attend. Exhibitors from sectors including agro-food, textiles, handicrafts, and more have been selected through certified trade bodies.
The event, to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, will feature over 200 SMEs from across Pakistan and include dialogue sessions and an awards ceremony. It aims to foster B2B partnerships and expand market access, with a special focus on women-led enterprises and micro businesses. The expo is expected to attract corporate buyers, policymakers, and the general public.
