Karachi: In a move aimed at bolstering environmentally friendly energy projects, the Sindh government has declared its full support for investors establishing manufacturing and charging plants within the province. This announcement was made by Provincial Minister for Energy and Planning, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, during a meeting with Malik Khuda Bakhsh, Chairman of Malik Group and Convener of the FPCCI Energy Committee.

The meeting, held in Karachi, highlighted the government's commitment to promoting green energy solutions, as envisioned by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Malik Khuda Bakhsh revealed that his group has embarked on a $340 million investment in collaboration with China's ADN Group to set up manufacturing and charging plants. These facilities will span major Pakistani cities such as Karachi and Lahore. Bakhsh commended the minister's efforts and expressed a willingness to allocate over 20% of electric vehicles produced in Pakistan's upcoming Karachi plant for government use.

The initiative also received accolades for supporting working women in Sindh with electric motorcycles, underscoring the provincial government's dedication to eco-friendly projects.
