KARACHI: Spotify's 2025 Wrapped has highlighted a significant year for Pakistani music, with Talha Anjum maintaining his position as the top local artist for the second consecutive year. As local music consumption rose by 70%, the results reflect a strong inclination towards homegrown talent.
Talha Anjum was joined by other popular musicians such as Umair and Hasan Raheem, while established artists like Atif Aslam and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan continued to enjoy substantial streaming numbers. Emerging artists Maanu, Bayaan, Afusic, AliSoomroMusic, and Annural Khalid also made a mark, demonstrating a fusion of different musical generations.
The year's top song, "Jhol" by Maanu and Annural Khalid, dominated the charts, followed by "Pal Pal" by Afusic and AliSoomroMusic. Other notable tracks include "Maand" by Bayaan, Hasan Raheem, and Rovalio, as well as "Departure Lane" by Talha Anjum and Umair.
