Karachi, Spotify is celebrating the first anniversary of its RADAR Pakistan program, a pioneering initiative designed to support emerging artists by providing a global platform to grow their careers and connect with fans. Over the past year, RADAR Pakistan has significantly boosted the careers of local artists, enhancing their listener base and global exposure. The program has been instrumental in highlighting the talents of Hasan Raheem, Taha G, Maanu, and Hassan & Roshaan, among others.

According to Spotify, the RADAR Pakistan program has chosen four featured artists, one for each quarter of its inaugural year, showcasing Hasan Raheem, Taha G, Maanu, and Hassan & Roshaan. Their music is celebrated in the ‘RADAR Pakistan 1 Year Anniversary’ playlist on Spotify. The program is also introducing a new visual identity and will feature rich storytelling in addition to its playlist promotion. This includes videos showcasing the artists' inspirations and journeys, offering fans a closer look into the world of these emerging stars.

The RADAR Pakistan playlist has seen significant success over the past year, with listeners from 74 different countries and a dominant 91% of streams coming from within Pakistan. This reflects strong local support for Pakistani music, with India, the USA, Canada, and the UK being other major contributing countries. The playlist has also experienced substantial growth in followers, increasing by an average of 33% monthly, indicating its expanding global reach and impact in promoting Pakistani artists.

Khan FM, Artists and Label Partnership Manager for Pakistan, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh at Spotify, highlighted the program’s achievements, including showcasing Pakistani artists in prominent locations worldwide, introducing emerging talents to a global audience, and hosting the first RADAR Festival on home ground. The festival, held at the LUMS Campus in Lahore, featured performances by all four RADAR artists and underscored Spotify's commitment to supporting the future of Pakistani music.

In 2023, the most played artists on the RADAR Pakistan playlist included Hasan Raheem, Taha G, Maanu, Abdul Hannan, and Hassan & Roshaan. Popular tracks like Maanu's "4U," Hassan & Roshaan's "Bandhan" and “Sukoon,” Hasan Raheem’s “Joona,” and Taha G's "Dil Kay Isharay" have captivated audiences both locally and internationally.
