Supreme Court of Pakistan Rules Against Bogus Trade Bodies, UBG Secretary General Hanif Gohar Reacts Positively

Karachi, Hanif Gohar, Secretary General of the United Business Group (UBG) for the Sindh Region, has applauded the recent Supreme Court decision against fake commercial establishments. Gohar characterized the ruling as a triumph for legitimate business practices, emphasizing that it exposed past manipulations in the Federation Chamber of Commerce through bogus votes. This decision, he noted, has illuminated the questionable intentions of certain opposition groups within the business community.

According to United Business Group, the Supreme Court of Pakistan has taken a firm stand against several bogus trade bodies in Balochistan. The ruling affected organizations such as Loralai CCI, Pakistan Transport Association, Scrap Importers Association, Gas Heater Importers Association, Women CCI Quetta, Plastic Scraps Association of Pakistan, All Pakistan Land Route Customs Agents Association, Ghee Exporters Association, All Pakistan Copper Importers and Exporters Association, and All Pakistan Glass Manufacturers Imports and Exporters Associations. These trade bodies, as stated by Gohar, had their licenses revoked years prior and were not entitled to membership in the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI). Their presence was seen as diminishing the influence and integrity of valid trade bodies within the FPCCI.

Gohar extended congratulations to the business community for this significant legal victory. He pointed out that there are still trade bodies with canceled licenses operating, emphasizing the need to prevent them from participating in the upcoming FPCCI elections.

The Supreme Court's decision is viewed positively by the business community in Pakistan, as it helps to eliminate fraudulent entities that have been undermining the country's economy and the credibility of legitimate trade organizations.
