ISLAMABAD: The Tech Advisory Forum (TAF) and Allied Bank Limited (ABL) have successfully hosted the first-ever TAF-ABL Public Sector Digital Transformation Awards 2026, in collaboration with Ignite - National Technology Fund and Pakistan Single Window (PSW). The event gathered government leaders, technology innovators, development partners, academics, and industry representatives to honor remarkable achievements in public sector innovation and digital transformation.

According to Allied Bank Limited, the awards acknowledged individuals, organizations, and project teams whose initiatives are propelling Pakistan towards a Digital Nation through innovation, technology adoption, and citizen-focused service delivery. The awards underscored the crucial role of digital solutions in transforming governance, enhancing inclusion, and improving public services nationwide.

Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, served as Chief Guest, presenting awards to winners. The event also assembled development partners, digital sector experts, policymakers, and industry leaders, alongside digital officials from Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program member countries.

Recognized across diverse categories such as AI Innovation and Public-Private Collaboration, the awards celebrated entities like the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for Revenue Reform and CAREC Regional Connectivity Innovation, and the Ministry of Education for Connected Classrooms System. Notable projects included Pakistan Single Window's (PSW) automated cross-border trade platform and NADRA's e-Visa System.

The event also featured a presentation of Pakistan's AI Readiness Report, offering insights into the country's preparedness for adopting artificial intelligence to drive economic growth and public sector modernization.

Federal Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja was honored as Digital Visionary of the Year, while Aizid Razzaq Gill, CEO of Allied Bank Limited, was recognized as Digital Transformation Patron of the Year. In her remarks, Minister Khawaja emphasized that digital transformation is a national development imperative enhancing government efficiency and economic growth.

The awards concluded with a commitment from TAF and partners to promote innovation, foster collaboration, and support initiatives for a digitally empowered Pakistan.
