Lahore: Vivo has announced the launch of its three-year corporate social responsibility initiative, "Capture the Future," in collaboration with SOS Children's Villages Pakistan. The program focuses on providing inclusive education through mobile imaging technology, aiming to empower underprivileged children by fostering creativity, imagination, and storytelling skills.
As part of this initiative, Vivo has committed a donation of PKR 20,000,000 to support the program's rollout across six SOS Children's Villages in Pakistan, prioritizing locations in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sialkot, and Multan during its first year.
The program emphasizes the role of aesthetic education in childhood development. Vivo seeks to use its mobile technology to encourage children to capture everyday details, engage with their surroundings, and express their perceptions through visual storytelling. This initiative aims to nurture creative thinking and meaningful engagement with the world.
Throughout the year, each village will host 24 photography and videography classes, resulting in a total of 144 sessions annually nationwide. These classes are integrated into the existing learning framework at SOS Children's Villages and are facilitated using the latest Vivo V50 5G smartphones.
Photography teachers in each village are trained to conduct two sessions every month, and dedicated Vivo Imaging Classrooms are being set up in all six villages. Each classroom features an Image Corner to showcase the children's photographic work regularly.
A notable aspect of the program is the Annual Photography Camp, led by renowned photographer Haris Sagheer Bhatti. The camp provides immersive learning experiences that help children refine their creative perspectives. Additionally, each village will host a yearly video exhibition, allowing children to share their work publicly and build confidence through artistic expression. A documentary featuring selected visuals captured by the children will also be produced annually.
To ensure the educational purpose of the technology is maintained, SOS Children's Villages Pakistan has implemented structured guidelines for the responsible use and distribution of smartphones. This ensures that the children can benefit from mobile imaging tools safely.
The launch event was attended by senior representatives from both organizations, including Andy Sun, Chief Brand Officer of Vivo Pakistan, and Saba Faisal, National Director of SOS Children's Villages Pakistan, who reiterated their commitment to empowering youth through creative education and technological access.
