Karachi: In a significant move towards modernizing public services, Zindigi, powered by JS Bank, has entered into a strategic agreement with the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Police to digitize the region's traffic fine issuance system. The collaboration aims to replace the conventional paper-based system with a fully digital framework, signaling a shift in traffic management methods.
Zindigi plans to equip AJK Police officers with handheld smart devices that are integrated with Bluetooth-enabled printers. This advancement will allow officers to issue traffic fines in a digital format instantly. Citizens will benefit from the ability to pay these fines using various modern payment methods, such as mobile wallets, ATM/debit cards, credit cards, and QR codes.
Abdul Jabbar, Inspector General of AJK Police, expressed that the initiative is part of an effort to align AJK Police with modern policing standards. He highlighted the goals of enhancing operational efficiency and providing seamless service delivery, which in turn would foster public trust, enhance transparency, and improve overall safety and security in the region.
Noman Azhar, Founder and Chief Officer of Zindigi, emphasized the critical role the private sector plays in advancing public service digitization. He stated that Zindigi is committed to supporting the ecosystem with sustainable solutions, absorbing the cost of such initiatives to avoid financial burdens on the government. Azhar reiterated that this effort is part of Zindigi's dedication to building a more efficient and digitally empowered Pakistan.
This partnership highlights Zindigi's focus on empowering institutions through private-public collaborations and innovative fintech solutions, aiming to create a smarter and more connected Pakistan.
