Zong’s Digital Initiative Transforms Education at Kohsar School

Karachi: Zong, a prominent technology company in Pakistan, has made significant strides in addressing the digital divide with its recent project at Islamabad Model School, also known as Kohsar School. The initiative involves the complete overhaul of the school's digital learning lab as part of Zong's broader mission to enhance educational opportunities for underserved communities in Pakistan.

Located in the Kohsar Market area of Islamabad, the school caters to around 400 students, with a substantial number from marginalized backgrounds. Despite facing numerous challenges, Kohsar School is a key component of the public education system in the capital, with future plans to introduce specialized facilities like a Robotics Lab, Art Studio, and Tech Learning Centre.

The upgraded digital lab is now equipped with modern tools aimed at facilitating gamified and interactive learning experiences. This development seeks to provide primary-level students, many of whom have limited access to technology, with engaging and visual educational content.

Andleeb Aslam, Zong's spokesperson, highlighted the initiative's significance by stating that integrating digital tools in education not only enriches learning but also promotes equitable digital access for all children, irrespective of their backgrounds.

Through efforts like these, Zong aims to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive in the digital era. By embedding digital education within underserved communities, the company is working towards social inclusion, gender equality, and long-term community development. As Kohsar School continues to develop its educational infrastructure, partnerships like this are vital for creating a more inclusive and technologically advanced future.
