PACRA Assigns Star Ranking to NBP Balanced Fund

Lahore, February 14, 2023 (PPI-OT):During CY22 the KSE-30 index benchmark declined by -15.22% due to political turbulence, heightened economic risks arising from devastating floods, elevated inflation, slowing economic growth, PKR devaluation, and declining foreign exchange reserves. PACRA ranked funds comprise one funds among the universe of four funds. The category average showed a negative return of -9.73%.

While the top-performing fund in the category showed a return of -6.45%. NBP Balanced Fund ranked 4-Star. Total return of NBP Balanced Fund in 1-year is ~ -7.92%. In the end Dec’22, Fund’s generate income by investing ~43.2% in Debt and Money Market securities and to generate capital appreciation by investing ~55.8% in equity and equity related securities. Sector wise Fund invest in Commercial Banks ~10.6% and ~17.6% in others whereas ~9.3% in Oil and Gas Exp.
