Quetta: A groundbreaking Solid Waste Management Project was launched in Quetta, setting a new standard for waste management practices in Pakistan. The project was inaugurated by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti.
According to Zameen.Com, this initiative aims to significantly improve sanitation and environmental health in the city by managing up to 1,600 tons of waste daily. This project is noted as the first of its kind in Pakistan and is expected to pave the way for similar developments across the country.
In addition to waste management, the inauguration event also marked the launch of 21 new NADRA registration centers and six mobile vehicles, enhancing access to essential services for residents in remote areas of Balochistan. These efforts collectively signify a substantial progression in public services and environmental management within the region.
