Islamabad: In a significant urban beautification initiative, Islamabad has teamed up with Baku to renovate several prominent sites around the city, including the Srinagar Highway, under a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding between the two capitals.
According to Zameen.Com, a delegation of horticulture experts from Baku met with Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa this past Thursday to discuss the details of the project. The collaboration will kick off with the renovation of four major locations in Islamabad: Srinagar Highway, Shakarparian, Saidpur Village, and Melody Food Park. In response to the Chairman's directives, the CDA’s environmental teams are set to expand landscaping efforts across the city.
Chairman Randhawa emphasized the urgency of initiating the Islamabad beautification plan and instructed the engineering wing to assist the Azerbaijani experts with technical support. The partnership also includes a generous contribution from Baku, which will provide Islamabad with various horticultural tools and machinery, and assist in establishing a nursery in the city. The project aims for prompt completion, with specific timelines set for the renovation of all designated locations.
