Peshawar: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board has approved a series of key measures designed to enhance the financial management and urban infrastructure in Islamabad. These decisions include significant restructuring within the CDA, aimed at boosting revenue and efficiently managing urban development projects.
According to Zameen, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa initiated several strategic changes, placing the Resource Wing under the Member Finance’s administrative control to improve revenue collection and explore new financial opportunities. The board has also directed the preparation of proposals for redeveloping designated cinema plots to revitalize the cinema industry in Islamabad, aligning with international standards and adding new cinema sites to the city’s landscape.
Moreover, the board’s decisions extend to the appointment of a transaction advisor for the IT Park in Sector G-10 and initiating a feasibility study for the Islamabad Bus Terminal with the Asian Development Bank’s support. Additionally, the CDA will engage the Public Private Partnership Authority (P3A) for advisory services on various projects, aiming to enhance the city’s sewerage treatment systems by reorganizing the administrative control under the Director General of Water Management.
