KSE-100 Index Records Strong Gains Amidst Rising Volumes

Karachi: The KSE-100 index demonstrated a strong performance as it rebounded with significant trading volumes in the most recent session. The index opened with strength and maintained its upward trajectory, reaching an intraday high of 1,891 points before closing with a gain of 1,274 points at 148,618. Market participation surged, with trading volumes increasing by 104% compared to the previous session.

Over the last ten sessions, the index has produced four white candles and six black candles, resulting in a net of two black candles. The KSE-100 remains in a positive trend, trading 24.6% above its 200-period moving average. Current volatility aligns with the 10-period average, and volume indicators point to moderate inflows, suggesting a cautiously optimistic outlook.

Technical analysis identifies immediate support at the 148,300 level. If the index falls below this threshold, there could be a decline towards 147,800 and 147,300. Conversely, resistance is expected at 149,300, with further barriers at 150,000 and 150,400. Market analysts recommend a cautious trading approach with risk management strategies focused below the identified support zone.
