KSE Indices Climb with Notable Gains

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) observed an uptick in market activity on September 1, 2025, as both the KSE30 and KSE100 indices posted gains. The KSE100 index climbed by 1,353.34 points, reaching 149,971.12, while the KSE30 index rose by 407.24 points, closing at 45,655.03. This marked percentage increases of 0.91 and 0.90, respectively, compared to the previous trading session.

The day's trading saw the KSE100 index hit a high of 150,066.00 and a low of 148,500.21. Similarly, the KSE30 index fluctuated between a high of 45,699.32 and a low of 45,129.83. The market's upward trajectory was reflected in the turnover figures, which showed a total of 1,183,076,656 shares traded in the regular market, down from the previous session's 1,342,203,045 shares.

Traded value in the regular segment stood at 48,849,868,349, while the market capitalization increased to 17,800,728,267,116 from 17,655,775,512,941. The futures market saw a turnover of 207,176,000 shares with a traded value of 11,042,407,650, a significant decline from the previous session's figures.

The open and deliverable contracts also showed a slight increase in activity, with 790 contracts traded compared to 532 in the previous session, and a traded value of 14,439 compared to 8,637.

The overall market performance signals a positive investor sentiment, although turnover and traded values in some segments showed a decrease. The data underscores a mixed day of trading activity at the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
