Karachi, March 11, 2022 (PPI-OT):Spokesperson KE clarified today that the Prime Minister’s relief package on electricity bills is also applicable on the utility in the same manner as other DISCOs of the country. The Economic Coordination Council (ECC) ratified the decision of the Prime Minister to reduce electricity bills by PKR 5 rupees for a 4-month period beginning March 2022 through to June 2022.

Under this decision, commercial consumers with a sanctioned load of under 5 kW and domestic consumers who are non-Time of Use (non-ToU) consumers with a consumption of under 700 units are eligible for this reduction. As a responsible corporate entity, KE is taking all steps to ensure compliance with the Government’s decision in the interest of consumers.
