Sialkot, November 17, 2021 (PPI-OT):On November 17, 2021, the Executive Committee of Sialkot Chamber under the esteemed Chair of Mian Imran Akbar, President SCCI, thanked the United Business Group for nominating Dr. Nouman Idris Butt as their Presidential Candidate for the upcoming elections of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI). The President Chamber said that UBG’s nomination of Dr. Nouman for the second time was a testament to the trust of the leadership in the capabilities of the business community of Sialkot.
Dr. Nouman Idris Butt, a former President of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry has a diverse portfolio in business and social sector development. Known for his visionary approach and out-of-the-box thinking, recently, Dr. Nouman Idris Butt was awarded by IPO Pakistan for filing the highest number of patents in Sports Goods Sector. Such feats in the world of Sports has allowed Dr. Nouman to become the lifetime Director and Board Member of the World’s Federation of Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI), which is the global authoritative body for the sports industry officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the industry’s representative within the Olympic Family.
The President SCCI, on the occasion, said that he had full faith that Dr. Nouman Idris Butt would represent the Export Based Industry of Sialkot in the most enlightened manner and his nomination would serve the purpose of properly highlighting the issues of trade and industry in the Government Corridors. Mr. Akbar said that it would be a historic moment for the city of Sialkot as for the first time, a member of the Sialkot Chamber would hold the prestigious office of the Federation’s President.
He further added that after the victory, a true voice of SMEs of Pakistan would hold the Chair and would serve to devise strategies tailor-made for Exports to promote the National Economy as per the vision of the Federal Government of Pakistan. The Executive Members were of the view that Dr. Nouman Idris Butt had full potential to replicate the model of Sialkot across Pakistan.
The President SCCI Mian Imran Akbar, Senior Vice President, Sheikh Zohaib Rafique Sethi, and Vice President Mr. Qasim Malik, along with his Executive Committee wished Dr. Nouman Idris Butt good luck for the elections and prayed that his nomination may be a good omen for the Trade and Industry of Pakistan.
